We act as an intermediary to facilitate bookings but do not own, manage, or operate any listed properties. All bookings are made directly between guests and hosts, with the terms of each stay governed by the host’s policies. Our role is limited to providing a seamless booking experience, ensuring secure payments, and offering customer support.
2. User Accounts and Responsibilities
To access certain features of Accom, including booking accommodations or listing properties, users must create an account with accurate and up-to-date information. Account security is the responsibility of the user, and any unauthorized access should be reported immediately. Users are prohibited from sharing their account details with others or engaging in fraudulent activities such as providing false information, using another person’s identity, or attempting to manipulate reviews and ratings.
Users must ensure that all interactions on the platform, whether as a guest or a host, comply with local laws and Accom’s community standards. Any violation of these terms may result in account suspension or permanent removal from the platform.
3. Booking Process and Payments
Guests can book accommodations by selecting available listings and completing the payment process through our secure system. Hosts are responsible for setting their pricing, availability, and any additional fees such as cleaning charges or security deposits. Payment processing is handled through third-party gateways, ensuring encrypted and secure transactions.
Once a booking is confirmed, guests receive a confirmation email with stay details. Any modifications or cancellations must be in accordance with the host’s policies, which are displayed before booking. Guests are advised to review these policies carefully before making a reservation.
4. Cancellations, Refunds, and Modifications
Cancellation and refund policies vary by host and are clearly stated on each listing. Guests must adhere to the selected host’s terms regarding refunds and modifications. Refunds, if applicable, are processed within a specified period based on the host’s policy and payment provider’s terms.
In cases of force majeure, including natural disasters, government-imposed travel restrictions, or unforeseen emergencies, Accom may intervene to assist both parties in finding a reasonable resolution. However, we are not liable for any financial losses incurred due to cancellations beyond our control.
5. Host Responsibilities and Listing Policies
Hosts must provide accurate and complete information about their properties, including descriptions, pricing, amenities, and availability. They are responsible for maintaining a safe and clean environment for guests and honoring all confirmed bookings. Misrepresentation of a property, failure to provide agreed-upon services, or repeated guest complaints may result in the removal of the listing or account suspension.
Hosts agree to comply with all local laws, tax regulations, and safety requirements applicable to their accommodations. Any additional charges such as city taxes or service fees must be transparently disclosed in the listing.
6. Platform Fees and Charges
Accom charges service fees for facilitating bookings, and these fees are determined based on the contractual agreement between Accom and the host. Fees may be deducted from the total booking amount before payouts. Additional payment processing fees may apply, depending on the payment method used. Accom reserves the right to adjust fee structures and will notify hosts of any significant changes.
7. User Conduct and Prohibited Activities
All users of Accom are expected to behave respectfully and professionally while using the platform. The following activities are strictly prohibited:
Providing false, misleading, or fraudulent information.
Using the platform for illegal activities, money laundering, or unauthorized transactions.
Posting discriminatory, offensive, or inappropriate content in reviews or listings.
Attempting to manipulate search rankings, ratings, or reviews.
Circumventing Accom’s payment system by conducting off-platform transactions.
Any violation of these guidelines may result in account termination and potential legal action.
8. Intellectual Property Rights
All content on Accom, including the website design, branding, logos, and listings, is protected under intellectual property laws. Users may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or use any content from Accom without explicit permission. Hosts retain ownership of their listings but grant Accom a non-exclusive right to display and promote their properties on the platform.
9. Limitation of Liability
Accom serves solely as a booking platform and is not responsible for the quality, safety, or legal compliance of listed properties. We do not verify each host or property beyond the information provided by the hosts themselves. Any disputes arising from stays, damages, or misrepresentation must be resolved directly between guests and hosts.
While we implement security measures to protect user data and ensure a seamless experience, Accom cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free access to the platform. We are not liable for any indirect damages, including lost bookings, financial losses, or technical failures beyond our control.
10. Privacy and Data Protection
User privacy is important to us, and we handle personal data in accordance with our Privacy Policy. By using Accom, users agree to the collection, storage, and processing of their data for service optimization, security, and marketing purposes. We do not sell user data to third parties, and all personal information is protected through encryption and access controls.
11. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms of Usage are governed by the laws of Indian jurisdiction. In the event of disputes, both parties agree to resolve matters through arbitration or legal proceedings as per the relevant legal system. Users waive any claims against Accom arising from issues related to accommodations, provided that Accom has fulfilled its role as an intermediary service provider.
